My name is Selina and I work as a freelance artist near Bingen am Rhein.
Between lightness and unease, mysticism and the familiar I search for the magical view of the world that is so often lost as we grow up.
A central motif in my work is the coniferous forest. I grew up in a village surrounded by spruce forests, which had a profound influence on my artistic sensibility. Amidst the moss, dark green branches and the perfectly straight trunks I feel most like myself.
In the face of spruce stands increasingly dying due to climate change, I try to capture the magic with which this tree enchants me.
In my works I explore the mergence of humanity and nature and the delicate structures which connect all living things.
